Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living and Memory Care is part of Bethesda Senior Living Communities (BSLC), a faith-based not-for-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of seniors nationwide. Thanks to our organization’s structure, our duty is to our residents rather than to shareholders. Community is the cornerstone of our mission, and as such, we are beholden to providing excellent care and selflessly serving our residents and our communities. Because of generous donations, our organization is able to provide benevolent gifts through a variety of programs, including:
Subsidized Care for Residents
Your donation allows BSLC to continually provide reduced-cost support to seniors within our communities as needs arise. Last year, BSLC provided more than $4 million in supplemental care to residents who had limited resources or who had outlived their savings.
Team Member Training
We provide our team members with more than 20 hours of online and face-to-face training every single year. We continually share best practices in resident care, choice, and privacy, and the latest in aging research with our teams. BSLC was recently recognized among the top 10% of senior living organizations for investment in team member training and development.
BSLC invests in new team members through a thorough hiring and screening process, and an intensive on-boarding program, with peer mentoring for key roles. As a result, we have high employee retention within the senior living field. Many team members enjoy ten years or more tenure in their communities.
Community Grant Program
Each BSLC community distributes Community Grants annually to agencies, making a positive impact on the lives of older adults, neighbors, or children. Last year, BSLC invested nearly $100,000 back into neighborhoods it serves. Ask your local community about recent grantees in your neighborhood.
A Worldwide Mission
BSLC is a key contributor to One Child Matters, its sister non-profit organization, which provides holistic care and assistance to more than 40 thousand impoverished children in 16 countries.
